In the shadow of the temple my friend
and I saw a blind man sitting apart.
And my friend said, "Look
the wisest man in the world.
I went to the blind,
greeted him.
And we started talking. Shortly after
said
"Excuse me a question:
how long are you blind?
"Since I was born, said.
I said: - What industry cultivate wisdom?
said: "I am an astronomer.
And placing his hand on his chest
said: "Search these suns and moons
,
and stars.
poem entitled astronomer, written by Lebanese artist and poet Khalil Yibran Yibran
The message of this poem reminds me of what We have talked about different spiritual traditions. "What that is in me is everywhere, which is me is not anywhere, "says the Hindu tantra. "Know thyself" was written in the temple of Delphi. San Juan de la Cruz told us in his glosses to the Soul Spiritual Canticle, to find God, must hide within itself and, if acting, would not have to strive to seek, since He would be waiting in the door of his house.
Wisdom is certainly much closer than we think and its nature is easier than we think. Maybe it costs us find because most of the time we address their search for a way too complicated.
